She has represented approximately 100 clients facing extremely serious federal charges including sex crimes against children, alien smuggling, serious drug trafficking and murder. She has represented clients at jury trial, motion to suppress hearings, and countless detention hearings in which she sought release of the accused from federal custody. Victoria is a native Texan and a former teacher with experience in Texas public and private schools. She uses her knowledge of teaching to explain the criminal justice system and processes in uncomplicated terms. Victoria’s years of teaching allow her to adapt to clients from all walks of life and shows in her ability to speak effectively in public.

As a member of the Criminal Justice Act defense appointment panel, Victoria frequently works with indigent clients without the financial means to pay for counsel. Victoria believes that just because you are poor, does not mean you should get poor representation.
